Warhammer Triumph and Treachery Empire, Ogres and Orcs and Goblins Game Two

After a brief hiatus (and another drink or two) we reset the table and played game three. 1500 point armies this time! The aim being to dominate the land around Schmuzlarden and claim victory in our mini campaign.

It is a couple of weeks now since we played and ale was taken on the day so for some unaccountable reason my memories are vague. So, on to the eye candy

The Orcs had the giant back.

I went for the corner by the tower. Pointing at the Empire. Who assured me they would simply shoot me to death.

Good luck with that.

The Empire had lots of extra shooty stuff

My Leadbelchers swiftly ran in to the tower.

While the Mournfangs acted all threatening.

The Leadbelchers were soon showing the Empire how shooting should be done.

In the centre the knights took on the Savage Orcs.

While the Ogres looked on and jeered.

Uh-oh. The giant is back.

The Orc v. Knight fight ground on - but wasn't all going the greenskins way.

I think the Empire swordsmen may have soiled themselves and run away.

The horde of Night Goblins with poisoned arrows were making a nuisance of themselves.

The Fanatics fell just short.

But the Knights had done for the Savage Orcs and the Trolls were now wondering off stupidly.

Eventually the knights started on the gobbos

Ogres meet giant again.

Somehow the gobbos saw off the knights.

The giant defeated the Ogrs ploughed into the woods, but took it slowly...

The last knight went back against the horde

The Mournfangs prepared to wipe out the remaining Orcs.

And then the game ended!
The Greenskins had racked up enough victory points to claim the field and win the campaign.
If only I had charged through the wood and into the gobbos I may have wiped them out and claimed the win!
But to be fair I only won the previous game because it ended at a favourable moment for me - the dice gods are even handed as always.

A great day and a half of gaming and drinking.

Hurrah for Warhammer!
