More WarCry.
No Stephen again - he was meeting a man about a thing. Apparently.
So me against General B.
General B.'s crew seem to be almost exactly the same as my Crow Blokes, but just slightly better at everything.
This is my way of saying that I lost. Twice.
Looks pretty though.

Murin and Drar - Lord of the Rings
As a distraction from Kislev I dragged these two to completion.
Another step closer to playing Shadow in the East

Ogre Mawpot
Our game of Triumph and Treachery has got me all excited about Warhammer.
And then I saw this piece of scenery for the Ogres (none of that stupid Age of S***mar spelling here, thankyouverymuch) and decided I had to have it.
Fortunately at around the same time some shares money from Games Workshop dropped through my letterbox. Don't worry kids, I'll squander most of the rest on historical miniatures.
And so, armed with cash I rushed out to buy one during a lunchtime in Sheffield. Only to discover it wasn't available in the store there.
Fortunately I live in Nottingham so was able to drive over to Warhammer World and pick one up on Saturday.
Then like an over-excited kid I stuck it together as soon as I got home.
Lovely chunky piece of kit, and being digitally designed it goes together like a dream. Unlike the Ork Stompa I started a while ago (or some of the Renedra kits).
It doesn't appear to have anything specifically AoS on it, so it'll be ideal for me to use as a piece of scenery.
It comes with some rules that I think I'll adapt for WFB - basically +1 to cast and dispel if you're stood near it, plus a cool mechanic for regenerating nearby units, and then refilling if you murder characters in challenges.
Looking forward to painting it (as soon as the bloody rain stops and I can get it undercoated.

Kislevember - Kossars
A trio of Warhammer Kislev Kossars to supplement my existing meagre force.
I've got eight in total to do (five more after these) which will give me a unit of 20, which I reckon is the optimal size for the weird axe, bow, no armour madness that is Warhammer Kossars.

Kislevember - Boyar
Another 28mm miniature for Kislev for Warhammer. A Boyar, sculpted I believe by Dave Thomas.
Big fat lad to marshal the troops.

Kislevember - The Ice Queen
So the Warmaster bit has been slow, but I have managed to finally finish off this venerable Perry sculpt of thee Ice Queen of Kislev for Warhammer.
A slightly static sculpt, typical of the time, but still a great looking model.

Kislevember (2)
Progress on the Warmaster element on Kislevember has been slow.
Lots of working away, the return of swimming gala season and the persistent bloody rain has meant even prepping models has proved tricky.
Nevertheless I managed to get these eight pairs (four strips) of archers done. That's enough for two whole bases. The remaining four are about half done.
Hoping to finish these this week and get on with some horse archers over next weekend.

Still more WarCry
The WarCry buzz hasn't left the Sherwood Hucknall and Ilko Team yet.
So it was over to Ballroom Manor once again.
First up Steve and the Cowardly Lion Crew took on The Ballroom Plate Head Massive.
The Cowardly Lion Crew claimed victory.
So I took on the victors with the Krow Kabal (but forgot to take many pictures)
I came second.
WarCry is fast and furious. It's also quite unforgiving. Make a mistake or lose a couple of guys early and there's no coming back.
