Warmaster Winter Warmer 2025 Game Three - Chaos v Empire

 As I continued to plummet down the tables I arrived to meet Dave and his gorgeous Empire army.

This was the battle where you gained double points for killing your opponents troops with your general - finally time for my Lord on a Dragon to demonstrate his worth (regular readers are invited to imagine how well that goes for me).

For some reason I didn't take many pictures of this game and the ones I did are not the best quality. Which is a shame as Dave's army is really very nice.

The field of war, with general poised to cover himself with glory. Ahem.

I sent some flanking Marauder cavalry to try and deal with a gunline.

While the Empire forces occupied defensible terrain.

Lots of halberds, as is right and proper in an Empire army.

Unfortunately my flanking force was bounced. And then shot at a lot.

My General ploughed up the centre.

As the Empire waired

The big block of hard hitting troops got a bit stuck in a thicket.

As my cavalry pushed up on my left.

Finally the General swung into action, launching himself at the Empire knights.

Unfortunately he suffered from sever Rubber Lance symptoms (we've all been there) and he and his unit managed just a single hit from 21 attacks.

Inevitably the Empire Knights hit back, my general died, points haemorrhaged away and I was on the wrong end of a drubbing.

A very pleasant and lots of fun drubbing with a splendid opponent. But a drubbing nonetheless.
