Midgard at Boards and Swords

As part of launching his excellent new Midgard rules chum James pt on some demo/participation games at Boards and Swords, a wargame shop on the outskirts of Derby. Pete and I were only too happy to join him for the day to help explain the game and run people through the rules.

We set up two games, one using James 6mm Trojan wars collection and one using my 28mm Dark Ages forces and James lovey terrain.

As it happened I spent most of the day running folk through the 6mm game whilst James and Pete dealt with the Dark Ages.

There's not much battle to report, really so it's mainly eye candy.

For some reason the lighting and/or my camera didn't get on when trying to take pictures of the 28mm game so it looks washed out and almost snowy when in reality its a fairly lush green!

I really like how the Trojan wars 6mm stuff looks.

The Greeks had a horse with them in case things went awry with the battle.

We had great fun showing the game off - several copies of the game were bought. Boards and Swords is a good little venue too, plenty of tables and lots of parking space. Great way to spend a Saturday.
