I arrived home from my latest road trip with son and heir to view potential universities to find a parcel waiting for me.
It was of course the second edition rules for Frostgrave.
And then I saw the adverts. And the nice new artwork. But mostly I remembered how much I'd loved playing it with the kids, how much I liked the setting and most of all how great the models are.
So I went for the advanced order of the rulebook.
Which I topped up, just a little. The rules came with a free apprentice, which looks great, and so I bought the wizard to match.
Looking forward to seeing what you think. I've been looking at this as a potential gateway game for my daughters (ages 12 and 8), and then some of the guys at our local shop started talking about playing, so there's even more incentive for me to look into it.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great game with the kids in my experience. If you look back under the Frostgrave label here you'll find some examples of me playing with my boys when they were similar ages.
DeleteBeen resisting 2nd Ed for the same reasons but might get tempted if sufficient changes to warrant the purchase. Any good?
