40K Orks and Templars 2000 pts Patrol

Steve came over to the Sherwood Soldier Shack and he and I took on the Gaming Heir.
We played the Patrol scenario from the rulebook. Steve and I were the attackers.

 March of da kanz

 Da boys run forwardz

 Primaris lads, looking for trouble

The game began well for us, we got the first turn and bought on quite a lot of our force, including the Morkanaut, mwahahahahah.
We pounded the small force of marines on the table at this point. Paying special attention to the Land raider.

 Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee..........

 ...oooooooooooooooooowwwwWWWWWW!

In what can only be described as Absolute Scenes the Land raider was blown up before it could wreak heavy damage on the ladz.

Elswehere the greenskins continued to hand it out, brutalising Rhinos, tactical squads and more beside

Inevitably however the marine fightback began. The Morkanaut succumbed to heavy fire, and particularly regretted failing to take out the lascannon armed dreadnought.

I luv ze schmell of burnink 'naut, don't you, Hans?

Some of the boys jumped in their trukk and sped away from the fighting - desperate to becoming victory points for the marines.

 Vrooooom!

In the centre even the MegaNobz were no match for a full squad of really quite angry Black Templars.

Kick zem in ze head Klaus!

At this point we called a halt to the game.
Despite racing to an early lead Teutonic Tenacity saw the templars claw things back. Indeed another turn would probably have seen the marines victorious. Still it was a better result than most we've managed against the sons of Dorn.
