Warmaster Winter Warmer Game One

We had an odd number of players for Winter Warmer and Alan and Andy very kindly agreed that i should be the one to make up the numbers.

First game I was drawn against Vince with his Bretonnians. Things with heavy armour are tough for my army which lacks punch so I already felt on the back foot from the get go. Turns out Vince is quite good at Warmaster too, so regular readers (thank you both) can probably imagine how this one pans out.

The scenario was based on occupying quarters at the end of the game.

I pushed up on my right

And on my left

There was a terrifying big block of Knights in the centre.

I realised it was charge or be charged, so threw the Winged Lancers forward. Unfortunately Bretonnian Armour>Lancer armour, so I rather bounced off.

Meanwhile more Knights had bounced my horse archers.

And more of the same on my right flank.

It was going badly for my horse archers

The bears too had been caught.

And with that my army was broken, Vince controlled all four quarters and I'd taken a proper beating.

Good fun game. Brets are a hard match up for me and Vince played well.
