I am immoderately behind on my posting - so, nearly a month since this game was played we get round to my first game of the second day where i would be playing Nigel and his Chaos Dwarfs.
The objective was to hold on to a centre area.
The light cavalry won me the scounting
The Big Hats were soon deploying
I used the river to secure one flank.
My intent was to plant a war wagon on the centre of the board and use that to hold the objective
Sadly my war wagons were out paced and orders were failed.
I pushed up on the right a bit.
But my left was a considerable distance from the objective
Fearsome big hats blocked my way.
More Dwarfs and slaves occupied villages on my left.
And wizards on flying bulls seemed to be everywhere.
I made a push for the centre but was caught in the flank.
Going head to hoof with Bull Centaurs was not my chosen plan.
Nor was getting my winged lancers flanked.
However I was making a better fist of things on my right.
And some horse archers were hunting down the war machines.
Winged lancers made the flank look even better.
In the end a narrow victory for me as I pushed the Chaos Dwarfs to break
Some additional phone pictures
My stalled war wagons look on.

As the horse archers are dragged down
Turning your wizard into a BEAR can be a game winner!
A splendid game where I finally felt like I understood how at least some parts of the Kislev army is supposed to work!
