Warmaster Chaos v. Bretonnians

Andy has been beavering - or perhaps that should be "Belvoiring" - away at a Bretonnian army in preparation for the 25th Birthday Warmaster even in Scotland next month. They're table ready, so he bought them over to the Soldier Shack for a run out. My Kislevites for the same event remain, ahem, in progress so I dug out the Chaos army.

Here's the video version

And now here's a few pictures

The Chaos horde assembles

General back on his Dragon (we're using King Is Dead rules)

I say "horde" but it's actually a pretty compact little army.

Peg Knights and Squires

Loadsa Knights - all with individual heraldry, as it should be. And also the reason i will *never* have a Bretonnian army.

More Knights

And still more...

Soon there were Peg Knights in my rear.

Picking on my Marauders.

The Bretonnians got the charges in.

Picking on my poor puppies

The "harpies" headed for the artillery, but Yeomen blocked the way.

The sneaky Enchantress managed to summon up some mist.

The Dragon Ogres cleaned things up in my rear but were in turn charged.

The remaining Pegasus knight fought on.

My general was caught in the open.

And surrounded

The Knights of Slaanesh found themselves assailed.

As the Dragon Ogres went down swinging.

And still the Pegsus Knight and Marauder continued their struggle!

At about this point my army was broken after just three turns.
Andy did have some outrageous dice, but mostly I was outmanoeuvred and outfought.

I get terribly distracted by flyers in my rear and my left flank never got moving thanks to some poor dice.
But it all looked very colourful and pretty and that's the main thing as far as I'm concerned.
