Lion Rampant Wars of the Roses

General Ballroom and I were due to continue our games of Chain of Command. As gamers of a certain vintage and with CoC rewarding leisurely play we usually stretch these games across two evenings, leaving the board and miniatures set up in General B's Garden Gaming Room. Unfortunately he had arranged for some other, younger and more spritely gamers to come round over the intervening weekend - which left us with a dilemma - play at speed or abandon our plans, nether of which held much appeal. And then I suggested an alternative - Lion Rampant is easy to set up, simple to remember how to play and cracks along at a pace that even two venerable folk such as us can wrap up in under two hours.

And so it was that our two 30 point forces met again - this time in the scenario that rewards you for getting units (or even parts of units) off the opposing corner.

Unfortunately I forgot both camera *and* phone. General B stepped in to the breach with his phone so we have a visual record, albeit one that hasn't had my usual levels of fussing and faff applied!

Blogger appears unwilling or unable to post the images in the correct order, and I am in no mind to manually fettle them any more than I have already.

Anyway it was a close fought game - where I narrowly claimed the victory by exiting a single surviving horseman from the field. And then murdering all Gen. B's men.
