95th Rifles officer for Song of Drums and Shakos

Started work on a plastic conversion for my Song f Drums and Shakos games.
Take one plastic rifleman and add a head from the same sculptor but for a very different range and see what emerges...

I couldn't resist doing some work on the bargain Wilkinsons's plastic elephant.

Some greenstuff to mask the central join and pinned and glued to a Warbases MDF base.

The next batch of seven of the old Perry sculpted Bretonnian archers all done and ready for basing

So that's my first twelve models finished. Worth I think a total of six points in Lion Rampant. I say I think as I'm presently unable to locate my copy of the rulebook. Grrr.
Now, do I do another twelve of these, or have a look at the knights...?

I spotted this plastic elephant in Wilkinsons today. And for the princely sum of £1 he was mine.
The other animals they had mostly looked a little large for my 28mm Darkest Africa games, but I think this will just about fit the bill.

He'll need a bit of paint job at some point, but he can just join the queue for now.

Dark Elf Sorceress

As a change of pace I painted up this old plastic Games Workshop Dark Elf Sorceress.

She'd been on my painting table in an undercoated state for quite a while, but as we've half a plan to do a Dark Elf warband for Song of Blades and Heroes and I keep thinking I really ought to make an effort to do a Dark Elf army for Warhammer, now seemed a good time. Base needs some foliage, but I think I need to order some "blasted grass" type stuff for a proper Naggaroth effect.
Chunky by modern Dark Elf standards and a classic example of chainmail-bikini sexism, but apart from that, quite a nice model.
