And so, after a brief pause for refreshment it was time for game two.
This time I took the 2000 point Dwarf force facing Kenton's Warriors and Stephen's Beastmen.
I made like a good Dwarf and castled on a hill. I was holding the objective (the bead in the middle of my Hammerers)
Ironbreakers to my left and Rangers in a field.
Royal Clan Dwarfs (played by Longbeards) and the ice cream scoop rock lobber.
Daemon Prince replacing Lord on Dragon for this one - so that's all right then.
Big unit of Beastmen and a Chariot.
The Chaos forces all raced forward.
I stood still and shot. To no great avail.
And then the Chaos forces crashed home.
The Hammerers watched on, waiting their turn to strike.
The Knights went through the Royal Clan.
But the Scoop Of Doom, was in fact, doomed.
The Pumbagore chariot smashed into the Ironbreakers, assisted by Dragon Ogres. Sneaky Chaos magic rusted the Dwarf armour away.
The Hammerers had had enough and decided to bring the pain.
The 'breakers hung around.
Hammerers are pretty handy it turns out.
The Knights picked on the Bolt Thrower.
Still just about surviving!
But the net is closing in.
Throndin Groznog and his bodyguard sang their death songs and prepared to go to Grungni
Outplayed an outfought this was a pretty straightforward win for the forces of Chaos.
But a great game of Warhammer all the same
