Glorantha at Hammerhead

I was pretty busy running games at Hammerhead so I din't get much opportunity to look at or photograph other games.
But one I was determined to see was the 28mm Glorantha game using To the Strongest Rules.
I've been fascinated by Glorantha since first picking up Runequest over 40 years ago and I'd love to play some wargames based in the setting at some point. So here was a chance to check out what was an amazing looking game.

The game was set in Prax, so there were plenty of the various tribes present, and some of their spirits too



Plus some dinosaurs.



Lunars, wielding magic.


Hordes of Sableriders.



I don't think the Red Bat  made an appearance in the game, but nothing says Gloranthan war quite like her!




Those are 28mm models on her back.




The backdrop was a nice touch
















I had a good chat with Richard who was running the game and have come back with renewed enthusiasm to crack on with my 6mm Midgard Glorantha force.

    This is the best set of photos I've seen of this game. I had Runequest many, many years ago but never became an enthusiast and sold my books for a song before another house move. There's an intriguing mix of mounts here and the project is clearly a labour of love. I think I like the Sable best because of the curling horns.
    Midgard would be a good choice for larger battles in 6mm and perhaps sometime there will be pictures of your progress too.
