40k Templars v Orks 650 points

Einstein said something to the effect that doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results was the definition of insanity. And with this in mind I agreed to another game with the Gaming Heir.
I banned him from leaning on the crutch that is Helbrecht (special characters are imbalancing but their effect is magnified in smaller point games). Unfortunately he can still lean on a Land Raider Crusader.

 The battlefield

 Klankenstein lumbers off

 Waaagh!

 Scouts seize objective number 2

 Waaagh!

Come on ladz, up an ova da hill.....Oh.
Gruzzkup urges da ladz on

It was all over quite quickly. The Land raider took out the dreadnought and then hosed down two squads to 20 Orks before they could get into range. The scouts ignominiously crushed two buggies.
Sigh.
Back to the drawing board.
A drawing board with Tankbustas writen on it in large letters.

  1. Short and sweet, I like it. A Weirdboy with Da Jump might help get your Boyz into range quicker.

  2. Ooooh. Now that's a good plan...

  3. Bad luck! Lootaz might be useful. Having more terrain so that your tankbustas can get nice and close could help. You could also drill out the ones on your dice, fill them with lead and paint the one back on, but that’s probably considered a bit cheaty.

    1. I've got Lootas but not sure they'll do much against the Crusader. Might give them a try.

  4. Lootas are fine but only a -1 save. A bigmek with a shokk attack gun is pretty good.

    1. Agreed, -1 save and the random number of shots don't make them very reliable for killing marines, never mind taking out Crusaders.
