My workbench this evening has seen some knights for my Warhammer army and their mounts.
Painted to match the unit I did this time last year for Sigmar's Blood.
This will (together with yesterday's general) create a twelve strong unit, which should hit quite hard I hope.
In almost inevitable distraction mode I also decided to crack on with these Musketeer Late Roman models that have been languishing on my painting table part finished since before Musketeer became Footsore.
Just the faces and some bling to do and they'll be done bar the basing. That will just leave three command models and I can declare this unit finished!
Looking very good!
ReplyDeleteThe silver/armour is great - sprayed? Goes well with the red plumage.
ReplyDeleteThose late romans are very nice.
Dan
Yep I sprayed them with Plasticote silver, then gave them a wash with black/blue.
DeleteQuick but effective.

Actually I sprayed them black first, then masked them, then sprayed silver.
DeleteThere's an example of the masking in this post

There's some more details on how i painted the horses and their armour from January last year under the Sigmar's Blood tag.

Very nice. I like your use of red as a unifying colour for the knights and mounts. Quite effective.
ReplyDeleteI have about 100 of those Footsore / Musketeer Romans languishing in my pile of shame since before Bill moved to Ohio. I really must make a start on them.
ReplyDeleteI seem to remember the agreement was you'd give me a two unit head start before starting your army.
DeleteI've finished one unit and am three away from finishing the second...
:)
