Midgard Moot 2

James staged the second Midgard Moot and asked if Matt and I would host our Glorantha game again.

Midgard Moot is a gaming day where just games of Midgard are played. James himself ran a campaign pitting Vikings against Saxons whilst various other folk (including Matt and I) stage participation games of various sorts.

Anyway here are all the pictures i took. First of our game. I've shared this before after we took it to Joy of Six last year. We had two great games with the Liberators freeing Pavis from the Lunar yoke in the first game and the Lunars turning back the rebellious barbarians in the second.

Here are some of the other games

Romans and Celts in the snow

Chum Dave's Lord of the Rings. Ruined for many by the shocking absence of Dwarfs riding goats, but not bad otherwise.

Norse Myth

Battle of Hastings

Jason and the Argonauts

A fantasy game using Warhammer Old World models and troop types.

The svelte figures and luxurious manes of hair are quite typical of the wargamer.

All the other games looked fantastic. A really good day of gaming. We had the only non-28mm game so it was good to demonstrate the flexibility of Midgard to deal with different scales. I expect there'll be some 10mm at next year's version given the current popularity of the scale within our group.
