Warmaster Revolution : Kislev v. Ogres

Our  Warmaster campaign seems to have rapidly lost momentum. One player has moved to Italy in order to avoid taking part and another Italian has surrendered without playing a single game. You are free to make up your own jokes based on stereotypes at this point.

Anyway, frantically persisting Andy and I met - he with his Ogres, me with my Kislev. He recently traded in his part painted metal Ogres for some resin ones that are more like the Warhammer Ogre figures. I rather liked the "characterful" nature of the metal sculpts and if I ever do an Ogre army I'd get some of those, but Andy disagreed. Anyway that's why his army is barely painted at all.

Here's the video version of events:

I didn't take many pictures and it was all a bit brutal,

The Kislev horse arrives

More Kislev

Mournfangs - oooh!

I had more lancers having recently painted some

The horse pushed up

Yikes, Gorgers all up in our business!

They took some shots on the way in but...

The Mournfangs slaughtered the un-laagered war wagon and accompanying troops - I sent some lancers to help out

And took revenge on the Gorgers

But more Ogres were in my flank.

And in my front

And in my flank again

Well, you get the general vibe

The axemen resolved to sell their lives dearly in the village, but the game was up

That was nasty - Ogres hit hard and a couple of crucial failed rolls really made it hard for me.

Ah well, another good game though.
