With Warmaster 25 over thoughts have turned towards to our Winter Warmer event in January. Alan has come up with a new scenario he wanted to try out so that's what we did.
First a video
Alan started the game at a rare old lick and managed double moves with his entire army racing up to claim defended status in the fields.
The Kislev forces stood firm
Not one, but two War wagons
And blocks of cavalry
Skinks and Krox move up.
The gems were representing objectives
They have a T-Rex with them!
The wagon laagered to block the passage
As the Lizards pushed up
Shooting from the Kislev forces pushed some Lizards out of the field.
Still the lizards massed
The second wagon was stuck in the field
Sneaky Lizards flew down to attack the end of the line
Cold one cavalry pushed up
The lizards closed in
As the laager held firm
Horse archers massed behind the lizards
The Kislev cavalry had some initial success killing Cold Ones but were in turn caught in the open
Eventually the blue tide struck home
Winged lancers were caught from behind
The wagon held firm but the troops with it all died.
On the other flank the wagon stalled but shooting drove back the Lizards
The Lizards closed in on the war wagon.
With the destruction of the wagon the Kislev break-point was reached and Alan claimed the win.
A good fight which saw me on the back foot for most of the game after Alan's excellent start. The wagon was impressive in defence but quite easily outmanoeuvred.
