And so to the second game - this time I was playing solo with my 2,000 point force.
And soon a familiar opponent appeared - Rob and his Daemons from the previous round - a chance for immediate revenge! Though having played Rob several times before I wasn't terribly confident of my chances...
The Kislev forces gather
We had clearly wandered to the shores of Nippon.
And would defend the temples amidst the blossom trees.
The light cavalry pushed up
The field was alive with the crackling of Daemonic enargy
My cavalry got caught in the open.
However the bears hit home
And the cavalry got caught
More horse archers hit home
And caught more daemons in the rear.
The Kislev cavalry were making progress
However some unlikely orders pulled off by the Daemon general meant they were in on my flanks too.
Daemonic flyers made their presence felt
Horse archers crossed the stream to attack a flank.
And with that I had pushed Rob over the breakpoint and earned a hard fought victory.
I was beginning to get the hang of the Kislev cavalry force and the scenario for this one played to my strengths - but it still could have gone Ethernet way.
Some extra phone pictures.
So at least I wasn't going to be whitewashed over the weekend
Great game with Rob as always.
