So to my final game against an army I'd never played before, Goblins, under the command of Geoff - a man I came to think of as Gerroff! Geoff as he repeatedly wielded the spell to great effect.
Once more the Dark Elves found themselves under the blazing sun of Araby- where wolves (who must have been quite warm) were on the prowl.
It was a slightly frustrating game for me. Gerroff! spells broke up my forces, artillery was brutal and I had some pretty poor command roles.
So I was always on the back foot, some of it self inflicted, some because Gerroff! Geoff knew how to use his army well!
To make matters worse from my perspective the victory conditions were all about killing the enemy - which is hard slog when you can be fed a near endless diet of cheap goblin troops!
But a frustrating game can still be a good game and Geoff was another good opponent.
Some more phone pictures:
I was down near the bottom of the table with no wins but at least I'd avoided the Wooden Spoon!
And when you have three great games of Warmaster the result is the least important thing.
Looking forward to Wormaster 6 next year!
