Perry Miniatures Sudan Highlanders

Hello folk from TMP.
Thanks for the traffic Bill

These have been half finished for quite a while, but recent colonial fun and games on the NWF has inspired me to get them finished off.
Painted as the 3rd Foot and Mouth. Obviously.

Nice and easy to paint. Simple block colour and wash approach just to get them done.

  1. Lovely stuff. Sudan's a period about which I know little; going to have to read up on them now.

    1. I'm not sure you'll find much about the service record of the 3rd Foot and Mouth in any of the official histories :)

  2. Lovely work. But for the 3rd Foot & Mouth, surely you need to include a portly sergeant with a spear sticking out of his back...? :-)

    2. Ha, aren't they great? When I ws creating TMWWBK I toyed with a rule for replacing machine-gun magazines with musical cylinders but decided it was probably too niche...

    3. Yes. I have Widdle in disguise in the painting queue but am tempted to add his head to a highland body...
