Most were given the dip treatment, rather than my usual basecoat, wash, highlight. However the templar and thief were both painted with washes as they were done from a black undercoat
They look OK and the small boy is very happy with them.

Excellent painting work !
ReplyDeleteNice colours. Your son is a lucky chap!
ReplyDeleteWell he was never going to paint them himself, so someone had to do it...
Delete:)
He chose the orange to match his firey Elementalist
Very nice..the templar and thief are excellent!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I think that's because I painted them "properly" :)
DeleteLooking pretty good to me. Nice
ReplyDeleteThey look smashing :-) I like the colours tying the group together. I definitely need to put more snow on mine now, having seen these!
ReplyDeleteI did a double application. It makes it thicker and looks more "melty at the edges.
DeleteApply once and leave to dry.
Then add more PVA on top and apply again.
What did you use? I've been trying GF9 stuff and it's rubbish.. keeps melting!! (24 hours after applying it has faded to a translucent film)
DeleteGW stuff I think. Had it ages and its in a little jar, so not certain.
DeleteBut seems similar to the stuff Scrivs and James use for Verdun (which is some of the railway stuff in a big shaker).
Superb! Colors and faces are fantastic!
