Midgard: Mount Badon at Partizan

Author of Midgard, James is kind enough to invite me along when he stages games at Partizan. Usually I supply some models and he hides them behind his more nicely painted ones. This year he was staging a refight of the Battle of Mount Badon, based on the version in the Bernard Cornwell novels. So I bought along both my Early Saxons and my Late Romans.

Scrivs, Martin, Pete and Sam had also all supplied models as well as James' own collection, so the table was fairly groaning beneath a pile of metal and plastic.

The day passed very quickly with lots of conversations with gamers to break up the dice rolling.

As usual I took loads of pictures - too many to comment on really, and so here they are - just as eye candy.

An "historical" outcome with the Briton's triumphing over the Saxons, however Arthur himself was bought low by a cowardly sling shot to the back of the head!
You'll also see it was a triumph for James too with the game winning the "Best in Show" award - and there was some tough competition out there!

A great day out with some top chums.
