Wormaster is one of my favourite wargame events of the year. Held in Worcester (hence the name) and this was the 4th one I'd been to. Andy and I travelled down together, Alan was indisposed abd I was taking the Kislev forces for what may be their final tournament outing for a while - I'm hoping to have a new army for Summer Sizzler.
First game I was drawn against John, who I'd met at last year's excellent Warmaster 25 event that he'd organised. He had a lovely looking Lizardman army with *no* cavalry.
The scenario involved holding objectives at the end of the game.
Broad, wintry plains, ideal for hardy Kislevites and somewhat more challenging for cold-blooded Lizardmen.
I had only a single war wagon for this event.
The Lizardmen "castled" in one corner
Snagging objectives as they went.
Despite the odds the winged lancers charged home
Blood both warm and cold was shed
Soewhere amongst this initial charging the Lizardman General was sucked into the fight. And perished!
Luck (good for me, bad for John) played a huge part!
The Leaderless Lizards struggled to claim back the objectives
The War Wagon took something of a beating but held on.
As the dust settled Kislev held more objectives and so i was able to claim a win. The (unexpected) death of his general caused John a lot of problems and despite that it was still quite a close run thing - pretty sure he'd have won if the big guy hadn't gone down.
A few bonus phone pictures
Great looking game
