Warmater 25 Game Five: Kislev and Lizardmen v. Vampires and Daemons

 And so toi the final game of the splendid Warmaster 25 event.

Another doubles affair I was paired with Arvjin and his Lizardmen against Mark with Vampires and Austen with Daemons. The scenario involved grabbing objectives and running them back to your deployment zone.

I faced off against the Daemons and the Lizards were lined up to deal with the Vampires. My co-player had a plan - I was happy to be led. However it rapidly began to fall apart...

The Lizards assembled by the temple.

With a weird noise and a smell of sulphur Austen's Daemons appeared.

Some undead types lingered toward the rear.

The Slaan had foreseen everything.

My horse archers once again found themselves fighting enemies to the front - a situation that never ends well

However they were more successful in the centre where they were able to surround enemies.

Battle was joined with both enemy forces.

Many Daemons were banished, but the undead ground my troops down.

In the end the evil forces were able to snatch away the objectives and then rapidly push us to a point where they could claim the win.

I did reaosnably well against the Daemons, but the scenario was against us and the Lizards found the Vampires a tough nut to crack.

A jollly and hard fought game that bought a fitting end to a wonderful weekend of gaming.
